Kambo is a secretion from the Monkey Tree Frog, that resides in the upper region of the Amazon Rainforest basin. Kambo secretion is not a poison or a venom, the secretion is used by the frogs as a deterrent from potential predators. Many tribes within the Amazon have been using Kambo for thousands of years, such as; the Matses, Kaxinawa and Yawanawa tribes. The tribal communities use Kambo for many reasons; to warn off bad spirits/energies, to clear bad luck, infections, fertility and immunity.

Kambo is used by the Matses, Kaxinawa, and Yawanawa tribes of the Amazon rainforest for a variety of purposes, including:

  • To cleanse the body of toxins. Kambo helps the body remove harmful substances that can build up over time.

  • To boost the immune system. The compounds in Kambo have been shown to have antimicrobial and antiviral properties.

  • To relieve pain. Kambo can be used to relieve pain from a variety of conditions, including headaches, muscle pain, and joint pain.

  • To improve mood. Kambo can help to reduce anxiety, depression, and stress.

  • To promote spiritual growth.
