The KPA is a UK-based global practitioner community founded by Lewis Powell, focused on responsible Kambo practice and continuing mentorship.
The Kambo Practitioner Alliance brings together practitioners who share a commitment to clear screening, careful preparation, ethical sourcing, accountable practice and continuing education. Membership is more than a certificate: it is an ongoing relationship with a professional community.
Structured training, current guidance, honest limits and support when a case needs a second opinion.
Respectful practice, realistic communication and clear responsibility to clients and the wider community.
Ongoing mentorship, peer learning and a pathway for practitioners to deepen their experience over time.
KPA's work is shaped by an ongoing relationship with the Matsés, who are among the traditional stewards of Kambo. The alliance is committed to respectful sourcing, reciprocity and keeping the origins of the practice visible within modern training.

A BOOK BY KPA FOUNDER LEWIS POWELL
Oral Testimony and the Historical Record of Contact and Cultural Transition
Drawing on conversations with Matsés elders, including people who experienced first contact in 1969, Lewis Powell explores the history of contact and the cultural changes that followed. A starting point for readers who want to understand more of the people and history behind the practice.
